'Two fine musicians combining to make beautiful music'

'World class'

We're delighted to have been appointed Musicians in Residence at King Edward VI School, Stratford upon Avon.

KES is world famous as the school which Shakespeare attended in his childhood. We are absolutely thrilled to be spending time in spaces where he spent his youth, from his classroom to the magnificent Guild Chapel.

Plans for the project are in their infancy, but we are going to be involved in a school production of As You Like It which will be performed at the Royal Shakespeare Company's The Other Place in late November. We'll be mentoring the students taking part in songwriting and performance and helping them create and perform their own original music for the production.

As British folk music is now on the Music curriculum, we will also be contributing to the school's award winning music department, creating a project which will see the collection and archiving of unrecorded folk songs from the area, working with the students of the school and other local schools on performances including folk music and encouraging the creation of new versions of old songs, something we hold very dear.

We will also be on hand to give the students advice on any aspect of being a musician.

It is a very exciting project for us to be involved in, and we're looking forward to a very productive relationship with the school, its pupils and the educational community in the Stratford area.
